Beginner Machine Quilting & Binding

Learn to Quilt and Bind on Your Domestic Machine! ​

If you ever wanted to quilt on your own sewing machine, this class is for you!  We will practice quilting on your very own machine.  We will quilt several samples and help you get comfortable with this new function of your machine.  At the end of our quilting time, we will take a short break then return for quilt binding!  We will learn two types of binding for our quilts.

Please bring your own sewing machine.  You should be comfortable with threading your machine.  Bring any necessary stitch plate or foot you need for quilting (straight stitch plate and free motion foot/embroidery foot). A walking foot is recommended for binding.

Bring thread for quilting and binding.   

A kit is included in the price of the class that includes fabric and batting.  

You may choose to attend all day or just one of the two classes.  Machine quilting will be in the morning from 10am-12:30pm.  We will take a short lunch break, then return at 1:00pm for binding.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.

In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit.

If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.  

If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
