Create something beautiful and practical in this fun, beginner-friendly class! You’ll make a set of jelly roll placemats while learning the essential techniques used to create jelly roll rugs. This class is the perfect introduction to working with pre-cut strips and mastering the process from start to finish.  One jelly roll will make 4 oval placemats or 1 small rug.

We’ll guide you through each step so you leave with the skills and confidence to continue on to larger projects, including jelly roll rugs.

Purchase a kit and save $15!  Kit includes - your choice of jelly roll, Clover jelly roll tube maker, 25 yards of 2.5" batting and pattern.

Individual Supply List - available in store:

• Jelly Roll Rug Pattern
• Clover Jelly Roll Tube Maker
• One roll of 2.5" batting strips
• Fabric: A pre-cut jelly roll is the easiest option, but you’re also welcome to cut your own strips. Fabric requirements and guidance can be found in the pattern. 

Other Supplies:

• Size 14 topstitch needle
• Coordinating thread
• Pre-wind at least 2 bobbins with matching thread
• Snips

Come ready to learn, create, and have fun while building skills you can use again and again!

**Your sewing machine must be able to handle sewing through 4 layers of batting and fabric.  It also needs to be able to sew a wide zig zag stitch.  Please test your machine before coming to class.  If you think you need to rent a machine capable of multiple layers, please let us know.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.

In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit.

If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.  

If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
