Oxbow Tote Bag

A versatile zippered top tote bag in two sizes to sew!  Features an easy access front pocket, reinforced base, crossbody strap, and a roomy interior with a slip pocket.  You customize your bag by quilting it, using cork, adding snaps, or adding different straps.  The class is for a Confident Beginner.

Regular size bag finishes at 15" wide x 5" deep, 12" tall.

Overnight bag finishes at 18" wide x 6.5" deep, 14" tall.

All class supplies available at the shop.  Receive a 10% discount on supplies purchased during class. 

Supplies needed:

Sewing machine in good working order with foot pedal and power cord.  You must be able to operate your sewing machine.  Walking foot for your machine recommended.

Oxbow Tote pattern

Polyester Thread - 40 weight

Exterior Fabric:  1/2 yard for Regular or 1 yard for Overnight

Lining Fabric (Includes interior pocket):  7/8 yard for Regular or 1.5 yards for Overnight

Accent Fabric (front pocket,, base):  fat quarter (FQ) or 1/3 yard for Regular or 3/8 yard for Overnight

Pellon SF101 or Fusible woven interfacing: 2 yards for Regular or 2 1/4 for Overnight

Foam Stabilizer OR Fusible Fleece (by Annie's  58" wide or Pellon 987F 44"):  1/2 yard for both sizes

7" x 19" piece of heavyweight interfacing such as Pellon Peltex 72F

Zipper for top closure: 18" for Regular or ___" for Overnight

Cotton webbing for handles/strap 1.5" wide:  3.75" for Regular or 4 yards for Overnight

Cotton webbing for Strap holders: 1" x 5"

(2) 1" D rings AND (1) 1.5" wide strap slider AND (2) 1.5" wide swivel snaps for strap hardware

Optional:  snap for front pocket closure

Pins or clips

Scissors or snips

Water soluble pen or heat erasable marking pen

Seam ripper

You may bring lunch, water,  or snacks.  

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.

In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit.

If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.  

If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
