Sewing Machine Mat

One day class

This class is a beginner project.  We will cut fabric, create a quilt sandwich and quilt your mat top.  Then we will add a front pocket and create dividers.  Finish off the mat with binding.  Last we will assemble a simple bucket to use as a thread catcher.

Bring your own machine.

Supply list:

• Sewing machine, power cord, foot pedal, and walking foot.
• 1/2 yard fabric for top of mat
• 1/2 yard fabric for bottom of mat
• 1/4 yard fabric for pocket
• 1/4 yard fabric for pocket lining
• 1/2 yard fabric for binding
• 1 FQ or 1/4 yard for thread catcher outside
• 1 FQ or 1/4 yard for thread catcher lining
• Two pieces of batting 18"x28"
• One piece of batting 5"x28"
• 1/4 yard Shapeflex interfacing
• Binding clips

You may bring a lunch and or snacks.  We have sodas, bottled water and chips available for .50 cents.  Small refrigerator available for use.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit.

If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.  

If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
