Beginner 3-yard Quilt
One Day Class
Master the Fundamentals of Quilt Piecing
Discover the joy of quilting in this beginner-friendly workshop! We will take three yards of fabric--a light, dark, and contrast-- and make a throw size quilt with a double border. We will use the book by Fabric Cafe "Big Block 3-Yard Quilts" available at the shop.
This workshop is an introduction to the world of quilting. We will learn to use a mat, ruler, and rotary cutter to cut our quilt pieces accurately. We will also learn about pressing, precise 1/4" seams, and marking our fabric.
Beginning sewing skills are a prerequisite for this class. You should be comfortable threading your machine, winding a bobbin, changing needles, and changing stitches on a sewing machine.
Bring your own machine and manual. YOUR MACHINE MUST BE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER FOR THIS CLASS. If you need to rent a machine let us know. There is a $25 fee for machine rental. If you purchase a machine from us, the rental applies towards the purchase.

Basic recommended supplies:
Pattern Book "Big Block 3-Yard Quilts" We will use this book for other classes in this series to build our quilting skills
Fabric: 1 yard contrast fabric (something fun like florals or animals), 1 yard light and 1 yard dark fabric
please note: The pattern can easily be made larger by adding more blocks. If you think you want to make it larger, then buy more fabric. Also, the pattern does not provide for binding that is what I consider "normal" binding, so figure another 1/4 yard of your dark fabric for binding.

Cancellation Policy
Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives. To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to.
CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING (IF AVAILABLE) MUST BE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.
Class fees are fully refundable only if cancellation or rescheduling (if available) is made at least 7 days prior to the class. If you cancel or reschedule at least 4 days but less than 7 days prior to the class date, class fees are 50% refundable for a store credit. If you cancel or reschedule 3 days or less prior to the date of the class, your class fees will not be refunded.
