Come join Dusty Allendorf as she introduces you to her Bejeweled Quilt! Dusty designed this pattern herself, and she is excited to share it with you. The cost of the class includes her original pattern.
This class is for a CONFIDENT BEGINNER.
Beginning sewing skills are a prerequisite for this class. You should be comfortable threading your machine, winding a bobbin, changing needles, and changing stitches on a sewing machine.
Bring your own machine and manual. YOUR MACHINE MUST BE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER FOR THIS CLASS. If you need to rent a machine let us know. There is a $25 fee for machine rental. If you purchase a machine from us, the rental applies towards the purchase.
A kit is available for purchase.

Fabric Requirements
- 8 Prints: ⅓ yard each
OR - 10" Squares: (22) 10" squares — see Fabric Selection
- Fabric 1 – Accent: ¼ yard
- Fabric 2 – Center: ⅛ yard**
- Background: 2¼ yards
Border Options
- Modern/Off-Center Border: 1 ¾ yard Background Fabric
(Quilt size: 62" × 70")
OR - Traditional Border: ⅝ yard **Fabric 2
(Quilt size: 65" × 65"; 3" border matching Fabric 2 Center)
Backing
- Without Border or with Traditional Border: 4½ yards
- With Modern Border: 5 yards
Binding
- Binding, 2½": ½ yard
Fabric Selection
- From the Layer Cake/10" Square pack, select 16 squares in any combination you like. Depending on the colorway and variety in your pack, you may wish to sort them by print scale (small or large), color, or value (light, medium, dark).
- Fabrics 1 and 2 may also be selected from the 10" Square pack. First, choose 4 coordinating 10" squares that work well together. Then select 2 matching 10" squares (the same print, if available in your pack). Both selections should provide strong contrast to the background fabric and the 16 squares selected above.
- If Fabrics 1 and 2 are selected from the 10" Square pack, the listed yardage for Fabrics 1 and 2 is not needed.
Note on Main Print Yardage: The design includes a total of 16 "jewels." Each ⅓ yard yields (4) 10" squares, so depending on the variety you want, you may choose as many or as few prints as you like to make a total of (16) 10" squares. The yardage as written will yield two of each print.
You may bring a lunch and or snacks. We have sodas, bottled water and chips available for .50 cents. Small refrigerator available for use.

By attending classes at our store, you consent to being photographed and/or recorded during class activities. We may use these images for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, and marketing materials. If you prefer not to be included, please notify us in writing in advance of the class.
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives. To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to.
CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING (IF AVAILABLE) MUST BE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.
Class fees are fully refundable only if cancellation or rescheduling (if available) is made at least 7 days prior to the class. If you cancel or reschedule at least 4 days but less than 7 days prior to the class date, class fees are 50% refundable for a store credit. If you cancel or reschedule 3 days or less prior to the date of the class, your class fees will not be refunded.
