If you were thinking about purchasing a longarm, this is a great opportunity to try the machine for yourself.  Learn the basics of longarming, complete a fun project, and an introduction to Pro-Stitcher in a hands on environment. We will have 6 Handi Quilter Amaras and 1 wonderful HQ National Educator for 3 days of longarm education.

Handi Quilter Educator: Loretta Morris - Fat Bird Quilting Studio

Loretta has been quilting for more than 25 years. While most of her experience is with the Long-Arm and Pro-Stitcher, she has also had many years quilting on the Sit-down machines. Loretta’s passion is in teaching others the love of quilting, and having the confidence to quilt their own quilts. She loves custom quilting! incorporating free motion, ruler work, and Pro-Stitcher all on the same quilt.

Day One - Longarm Hands-on Fundamentals

Does longarm quilting interest you, and you’d like to learn more about it? Or do you just want a review of longarm quilting basics? This class removes the mystery of longarm quilting by explaining machine and frame elements and features, how to load a quilt, and vital facts about thread, needles, and tension. Handi Quilter longarm machine and frame systems come in various sizes for every budget and are user-friendly because they are designed by a quilter, for quilters – just like you!

Day Two - Pillow Project

Create a beautiful pillow all on the longarm.  You'll learn different stitch techniques and work with the yarn foot.  This project will inspire your creativity to use your longarm in ways you never thought possible.

Day Three - Pro-Stitcher Principles + Essentials Hands On

Class Description: Pro-Stitcher is an intuitive computer-guided quilting system designed especially for use with Handi Quilter longarm quilting machines. User-friendly and simple to operate, the step-bystep process for each function is easy and fun. Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit.

If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.  

If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
