Chic Picnic Quilt Class

Chic Picnic is a fun bold design that is perfect for a collection of fabrics OR for using up your stash OR for large scale prints!  This design starts with a basic four-patch that becomes so much more with a few curves. Easy curved piecing is taught in class--no pins, no finding center  Just cut, sew, and square up.

The quilt finishes at 75"x75"

This quilt uses the Quick Curve Ruler and Sew Square 8 Ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful.  The instructor, Melinda, is a certified Sew Kind of Wonderful teacher and will instruct you on this easy method for piecing.  Do not let curved piecing scare you--the ruler makes it simple and you do not have to pin or match seams!

Supply list:

• Sewing machine, power cord, foot pedal, and walking foot.  Your machine must be in good working order.  You must be able to operate your machine indepently.
• Pattern:  Chic Picnic available at the shop
• Quick Curve Ruler and Sew Square 8 Ruler available at the shop
• 84 10'x10' assorted fabrics OR 21 10"x WOF cut into 84- 10'x10"--we used 1/2 yard of all of the Pop Cloth by Sew KInd of Wonderful
• 4 3/4  yards background fabric
• 4 1/2 yards backing (not needed at class)
• 2/3 yard for binding (not needed at class)

You may bring a lunch and or snacks.  We have sodas, bottled water and chips available for .50 cents.  Small refrigerator available for use.

By attending classes at our store, you consent to being photographed and/or recorded during class activities.  We may use these images for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, and marketing materials.  If you prefer not to be included, please notify us in writing in advance of the class.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING (IF AVAILABLE) MUST BE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.

Class fees are fully refundable only if cancellation or rescheduling (if available) is made at least 7 days prior to the class. If you cancel or reschedule at least 4 days but less than 7 days prior to the class date, class fees are 50% refundable for a store credit.  If you cancel or reschedule 3 days or less prior to the date of the class, your class fees will not be refunded.
