Sewing 101 - For ages 10-16 ONLY

One Day Class

Master the Fundamentals of Sewing

Join this special holiday sewing class for children ages 10-16.  We will use our machines to show you how to operate a sewing machine and sew a small project  This class will give detailed instructions on threading the machine, winding a bobbin, and even cleaning the machine.

THIS CLASS IS A PREREQUISITE FOR OUR MINI KID'S CAMP ON DECEMBER 29TH.

WE WILL OFFER THIS CLASS TWO TIMES THIS DAY.  ONLY ONE CLASS IS NEEDED PER STUDENT, SO YOU CAN CHOOSE MORNING OR AFTERNOON.

Please print and fill out the waiver for the class here.  Students will not be permitted to stay without a signed waiver.

You'll learn:

Machine essentials - from threading and bobbin winding to adjusting tension

Machine troubleshooting - cleaning and changing a needle

Basic stitches - perfect your straight stitch and explore the versatility of zig-zag

Materials know-how - select the right needle and thread for your projects

Hands-on practice - guide fabric through your machine and experiment with different stitches

A kit for a small project and the machine rental is included in the class fee.

Supplies available at the shop.  Receive a 10% discount on supplies purchased during class.

By attending classes at our store, you consent to being photographed and/or recorded during class activities.  We may use these images for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, and marketing materials.  If you prefer not to be included, please notify us in writing in advance of the class.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING (IF AVAILABLE) MUST BE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.

Class fees are fully refundable only if cancellation or rescheduling (if available) is made at least 7 days prior to the class. If you cancel or reschedule at least 4 days but less than 7 days prior to the class date, class fees are 50% refundable for a store credit.  If you cancel or reschedule 3 days or less prior to the date of the class, your class fees will not be refunded.
