T-shirt Quilt Class - Two Day Class

T-Shirt Quilt Class

Turn that box of T-shirts into a cuddly, memorable quilt!  This class will teach you how to cut and interface the shirts for a stunning result.  The first day of class, Friday July 17th,  we will plan our quilts and interface and cut our shirts.  The second day, Saturday July 18th, is an optional sew day for those of you who would like some more guidance on putting your quilt together.

Class is taught by Melinda Brown.

You can make your own pattern or you can use the Twist and Shout pattern from Pressing Matters.  We have received special permission to use this pattern in our classes!  The pattern is free.

Other supplies available at the shop.  Receive a 10% discount on supplies purchased for the class. 

Basic recommended supplies for Twist and Shout Pattern:

6 yards SF101 stabilizer 

Sturdy fabric scissors

Thread

Seam ripper

20 T-shirts washed and dried without fabric softener or dryer sheets

2 different fabrics for Frame #1 and #2 -- each 1 1/2 yards

T-Shirt Transformation Ruler

These fabrics are needed to finish the quilt, but not needed for the class: 

3/8 yard fabric for inner border

3/4 yards fabric for outer border

3/4 yard fabric for binding

5 1/4 yards fabric for backing 

If you are making your own pattern, please bring graph paper and a pencil, plus 2.5 yards of fabric for sashing and borders.  You will also need 7-8 yards of SF101 stabilizer.

You may bring a lunch and or snacks.  We have sodas, bottled water and chips available for .50 cents.  Small refrigerator available for use.

By attending classes at our store, you consent to being photographed and/or recorded during class activities.  We may use these images for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, and marketing materials.  If you prefer not to be included, please notify us in writing in advance of the class.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING (IF AVAILABLE) MUST BE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.

Class fees are fully refundable only if cancellation or rescheduling (if available) is made at least 7 days prior to the class. If you cancel or reschedule at least 4 days but less than 7 days prior to the class date, class fees are 50% refundable for a store credit.  If you cancel or reschedule 3 days or less prior to the date of the class, your class fees will not be refunded.
