Tailoring Basics: Hemming
When you first learned to sew, you didn't know so many people would be asking you to hem their items. This class will show you three methods of hemming: rolled hem, blind hem, and Melinda's cheating method for those people who want you to hem for free. Bring something that needs hemming. You can just bring fabric if you want to practice. We will NOT be hemming jeans, but we can talk about it!
Supplies:
- Sewing machine in good working condition with foot pedal and power cord.
- Good pair of sharp scissors
- Thread to match your project
- Straight pins
- Measuring tape/seam guide
- Seam ripper
- Stiletto

By attending classes at our store, you consent to being photographed and/or recorded during class activities. If you prefer not to be included, please notify us in writing in advance of the class.
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives. To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to.
CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING (IF AVAILABLE) MUST BE IN PERSON OR BY PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.
Class fees are fully refundable only if cancellation or rescheduling (if available) is made at least 7 days prior to the class. If you cancel or reschedule at least 4 days but less than 7 days prior to the class date, class fees are 50% refundable for a store credit. If you cancel or reschedule 3 days or less prior to the date of the class, your class fees will not be refunded.
