Tamarack Quilted Jacket- Two Day Class
Have you ever thought you wanted to make a jacket out of an old quilt, or just a quilted jacket to show off your favorite fabric? This class is for you! Join us as we take quilted fabric and make a beautiful jacket that you can wear and amaze your friends! It's like wearing your quilts out to the world!
This class is a two day class. The first day we will cut out our pattern and go into the welt pockets. The second day we will assemble the jacket and bind it.
Class times: Friday, February 13: 10:00am-4:00pm
Saturday, February 14: 11:00am-4:00pm
This is an intermediate class. You must have your fabric WASHED and then QUILTED before coming to class if you are not going to cut up one of your quilts.
Supplies needed: (All supplies are available at Sewcial Creatives. Receive a 10% discount on supplies for class)
- Sewing machine in good working order with a walking foot
- Tamarack Jacket Pattern
- There is an optional hood. You must purchase and download the pattern for the hood here.
- Fabric for outer coat and lining (2 5/8 yards each)
- Fabric for binding (3/4 yard or more depending on your size)
- Pattern
- Pins or clips
- Thread to match fabric
- Batting
- Fabric marking pen--not permanent
- Seam ripper
- All other sewing tools that you enjoy using
You may bring a lunch and or snacks. We have sodas, bottled water and chips available for .50 cents. Small refrigerator available for use.
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives. To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE IN PERSON OR ON THE PHONE DURING STORE HOURS.
In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit.
If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.
If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
