One day class- Three Yard Quilt

This class is for a confident beginner to an intermediate quilter  We will take one yard of three different fabrics and create a beautiful quilt.  The quilt finishes at 52" x 52", but you can make it larger by adding larger borders or more blocks.  By the time you finish this quilt, you will come to know flying geese very well and see how they can add to the majesty of your quilt.

Supply list:

• Sewing machine, power cord, foot pedal, and 1/4" foot.  Your sewing machine must be in good working order, and you must know how to operate your machine.
• The pattern is included in the class fee.
• 1 yard of 3 different fabrics. light, medium, and dark  You may want extra fabric for a bigger border or binding Please note:  the author of the pattern uses every scrap of fabric.  If you tend to make a lot of cutting mistakes, you may want to get 1/8-1/4 yard of extra fabric.
• Coordinating cotton thread for piecing (can be neutral like cream, white, or light grey)
• Rotary cutter and mat
• Travel iron and ironing service if you have one
• Labels or scraps of paper to keep your pieces organized once they are cut.
• Straight pins
• Your favorite sewing supplies.

In order to get our blocks completed in a timely manner, some pre-cutting must be done before class.  Here is a list of what needs to be cut:

• Fabric A (focus fabric or medium color):  1-6" strip; 1- 6 1/2" strip; 1- 3" strip; 1- 5 1/2" strip  The remainder of the fabric will be used for borders,
• Fabric B (darker fabric): 1- 6 1/2" strip; 2- 3" strips; 2- 3 1/2" strips; 1- 5 1/2" strip.  The remainder of the fabric will be used for the inner border.
• Fabric C (light fabric or the background): 4- 3" strips; 2- 3" strips; 3- 3 1/2" strips; 1- 6 1/2" strip

You may bring a lunch and or snacks.  We have sodas, bottled water and chips available for .50 cents.  Small refrigerator available for use.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE IN PERSON OR ON THE PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS.

In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit. Cancellation must be made in person or by phone during store hours.

If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.  

If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
